Official: US restrictions on Russian arms exports unfair competition
MOSCOW, Feb 25 (PRIME) -- A ruling of the U.S. Commerce Department to limit Russian military exports is an example of unfair competition, but the Russian defense industry will not be hurt, member of the defense committee of the Federation Council Frants Klintsevish told PRIME on February 22.
“The decisions of the U.S. authorities to curb exports of military products from Russia are demonstration of unfair competition. Our country is self-sufficient in terms of defense and the Russian military and defense industry will not be hurt by this,” he said.
The U.S. had imposed restrictions on exports from Russia starting from Monday: the new limits will cover nuclear non-proliferation, missile systems and drones.
